Learning Behaviour Charter

January 2020 sees the launch of the College’s Learning Behaviour Charter.  The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, states in Article 40 that Education must fully develop talents, skills and abilities.  As a Rights Respecting School, pupils are encouraged to protect this right by observing the following behaviours that have been drawn up after consultation with pupils, staff and parents:

  1. Be punctual to class and be prepared in order to learn.
  2. Listen to and promptly follow all instructions given by staff.
  3. Try my best in all tasks given.
  4. Make positive contributions to class discussions and activities.
  5. Show respect towards pupils, adults and property.

There are rewards for pupils promoting the right to an education with sanctions in place for choosing to take away the rights of education for others.
