Priory Celebrates Best GCSE Results Ever!

23 Aug Priory Celebrates Best GCSE Results Ever!

It was another record-breaking year for GCSE students at Priory Integrated College in Holywood on Thursday.  Over 90% of the year group achieved 5 or more A* – C grades, including a bumper crop of top grades in a host of subjects including Mathematics, English, Geography, RE, History, Science, Creative Media, Health & Social Care and Design and Technology.   Delighted students celebrated with their teachers, parents and carers, and many are now making plans to begin A level courses in Sixth Form at Priory in September.

“These are fantastic results achieved by our students,” said the Principal, Jacqui Magennis.  “We were delighted by the outcomes achieved by last year’s cohort, but these are even higher.  Our students from right across the academic spectrum have done really well.  It’s also very encouraging to see our GCSE results in the core GCSEs of English and Mathematics are now well above the average. Getting good grades in these subjects has given our students so many options to choose from as they move to the next stage of their education.’

These record-breaking results at GCSE come hard on the heels of A Level results last week, when there were similar success stories in a whole range of academic and vocational courses, and delighted students are now making plans to begin university courses in September.

Anyone interested in applying for a place in Sixth Form at Priory to study A levels should contact the college as soon as possible and bring with them evidence of their GCSE results.  The Admissions Team will be happy to meet with you and discuss the options available.
