04 Mar Visit from Army Recruitment to Priory’s Princes Trust group
The Year 12 Princes Trust Group welcomed Army Recruitment to their lesson, with the aim of introducing to them their new module of Team Skills. The group of 21 pupils enjoyed a series of activities which promoted the skills of: working together, communication, problem solving and using initiative. The Army Recruitment team also took the opportunity to explain the range of careers open to young people as part of being employed in a regiment.
The Princes Trust qualification is a Level 2 qualification that is run very successfully at the College. Over 40 pupils study for the qualification at Level 2. Pupils develop knowledge and skills over a range of modules including: Career Planning, Work Experience, running an Enterprise, Money Management, Healthy Living, Presentation Skills and running a Community Project. The pupils thoroughly enjoy the variety of learning and the active nature of the course.
