Given the ever changing world of employment trends and the unpredictable nature of the economic climate, it is increasingly important to ensure that all young people are equipped with the skills to plan their learning pathways and associated transitions to further/higher education and the world of work.

 

The Careers Education Programme for Sixth Form provides:-

 

  • Reliable information about the full range of learning and career pathways available to students post 18.
  • Guidance from careers staff and external carers advisors relevant to pupils’ abilities and aspirations.
  • Support and develops Personal Career Planning, UCAS applications, interview skills and the writing of CVs/Application Forms and Letters of Application.
  • Opportunities for students to participate in relevant work experience.
  • Advice on finance and money management.
  • Opportunities to develop a range of employability skills including target setting, time management and communication.
